PNB Staff Union has a glorious history of Unity, Struggle and Sacrifice. It emerged from a division from existing union after a long ideological struggle in 1986. It has played memorial and significant role in the formation of PNB Employees federation of India(All India organization). And also extended all out activities in active participation in its struggle programme . Due to its relentless struggle it became strong dedicated constituent of PNBEFI, Befi, bihar and its District organizations. It succeeded to establish many mile stone in benefit of employees through continuous movement. It is pertinent to mention that PNB Shramik Union which was operating in Bihar merged with PNB Staff Union and the members of Shramik Union in Bihar proved as guiding force for PNB Staff union. They have sacrificed their individual interest for broader interest of bank employees movement. “Hats off to them”.

Com. Anupam Mitra the then Gen. Secretary at present the Gen. Secretary of PNBEFI and Com. R.N.Singh the then President at present Vice President of PNB Staff Union played a very vital role in merger of the union . Members of the union i.e. PNB Staff Union were concentrated in various areas in Bihar, but they never tired from continuous struggle and sacrificed rather developed a strong unity for fighting against the anti employee attitude of the Management of Punjab National Bank.

The first conference of PNB Staff Union was held at Patna under the guidance of veteran Trade union leader Com. Yogendar Prasad the Ex Gen. Secretary of PNBEU(AIBEA),Bihar and thereafter Com. Pramod Kumar Sinha was elected the First Gen. Secretary of PNB Staff Union and continued till Sept. 2006. Com. R.N.Singh elected the first president of the union. Thus Celebrating its various Biennial Conferences in due time PNB Staff Union celebrated Silver Jubilee Year by holding 11th Biennial Conference successfully on 05-06 November 2011 under the leadership of Com. Umesh kumar verma the present General Secretary, Com. Anil Singh the present President,Com.Ratan Choudhary present Treasurer,Com. Krishna Murari Singh , Com. Ravindar Kumar Choudhary,Com. Tapas Das,Com. Pankaj Chand,Com. Uday Shankar Prasad,Com. Prashant Kumar and many more.

Late Com. Beer Pd. Singh,Late com. Banarsi Sharma, Late Com. Shambhu Sharan Sinha Com. BKN Kishore ,Com. Arjun kumar,Com. Ratan choudhury,Com. Sanjay Verma,Com. Kamlesh Kumar,Com. Jayant Singh,Com.Deepak Kumar Sinha and Many other militant comrades strengthen PNB Staff Union numerically and ideologically.
