Diagnostic radiology and imaging is an ever expanding branch with innumerable technical procedures for diagnosing various diseases.
This course is designed to meet the new requirements of the health sector, wherein students are educated and trained in the technical aspects of procedures with a special emphasis on basic anatomy and path physiology of the disease process.
No hospital or nursing home can be managed without X-ray and other diagnostic equipment. To handle this equipment a team of experts like Radiologist, physicists, Radiographers and Dark Room Assistants are required.
A trained radiographer can manage his own X-ray clinic in the private sector under the supervision of a radiologist. There is a shortage of property trained and skilled radiographers in the state as well as at a national level. There is large scope of overseas employment for the trained technicianDURATION: Two years divided into two parts of one year each.
ELIGIBILITY: Higher Secondary (10+2) examination passed with physics, chemistry, Biology.

Note: In addition to the above Rs. 3000/- shall be charged as caution money which shall be refunded at the time of college leaving.
